This section will contain information, articles and interviews of local, national and international issues involving wildlife and wildlife habitat. Our natural world is affected by many things. I will be interviewing some local environmental groups that monitor and help save and restore habitat and the wildlife that call it home. Our first interview will be conducted next week. It will be on the local and migratory birds and one group that help the sick and injured animals back to recovery. It should be an interesting article.
Global Warming - There is a short video on how Global Warming works and what the natural process is and what humans are contributing to this. There is an artile that will be posted shortly that goes with this video. The video nor the article encompass all of the Global Warming facts and information. It is however an attempt to give an overview of what it is.
Wetlands and Wildlife Care Center - One of 27 facilities along the California coast that cares for birds, sea animals and other native wildlife that is sick or injurred. This facility was constructed after an oil tanker spill off the Orange County California coast. There was no facility near by to clean and care for the animals affected by the spill. This facility operates on donation from the public for most of its operating expenses.
Amigos De Bolsa Chica - The Amigos De Bolsa Chica was formed in the 1970s to help protect the fragile and rapidly disappearing wetlands from Huntington Beach, California. The wetlands is a very sensitive wildlife habitat. The southern California coastal areas was once a great migratory fly way. This article discuss what the Amigos De Bolsa Chica has done to help preserve as much of the wetlands as possible and what they would like to continue to do.
Fine Art Photography - This article shows examples of some fine art photography. It discusses the how to take fine art photographs. The discussion on this article focus on two images. One a nature image, wild California Poppies and the other is a studio shot. One image took me about 1000 frames to capture the image I was after. The other image took me about 4 shots to get the image I wanted.
How to Crop a Photograph - This article is part of a blog post but turned into a rather good article on cropping and why we do it. If you have images and you are not happy with the way they look then check this article out. Some simple cropping techniques can turn the ordinar snap shot image into a beautiful photographic work of art. I used photoshop but any photo software is sure to have a cropping tool so you do not need to have expensive software for this.
